A 2-hour workshop for FitPros who want to learn how to create lesson plans that are FUN to write, and FUN to teach!

Do you teach group exercise classes to mainstream clients right now?

Would you like to inject more FUN into your lesson planning?

Scared that your clients are getting BORED of your teaching?

I can help! 🙋‍♀️

Let’s make lesson planning FUN again!

The Fun Intended Workshop is for FitPros who want to make lesson planning fun again.

You’ll learn exactly how to take the arsenal of exercises you have right now, and package them up into ways that are not just FUN for you to teach, but FUN for your clients to do too!

The content of the Fun Intended Workshop is aimed at FitPros who teach group exercise classes to mainstream populations (not specialist populations).

Why?  Because these are the clients who’ve been extremely loyal to you over the years, and these are the people you ENJOY having fun with and trying out NEW stuff on, right?! 🙋‍♀️

Are you ready to put the FUN-factor back into your teaching so your classes ooze this sort of energy?!

(see image below 👇👇👇)

As opposed to this next image below, where quite honestly, I have NO IDEA what is going on

(…and, I don’t think the people in the class do either 🤷‍♀️)

Those resistance bands can be tricky, right?

Particularly when you want to secure them around your clients’ feet! 😅

LET ME GET SERIOUS FOR A MOMENT…

FitPros have had a really tough time these last few years, and the Fun Intended Workshop will help you find your lesson plan mojo again, ok?

AND, HERE’S THE THING…

You KNOW your clients incredibly well right now, and you KNOW what exercises work really well for them.

When you turn up to teach your classes each week, I guarantee your clients are not getting BORED of you.

Why?  Because they keep turning up and paying you regularly, right? 🤑

The problem here is that you’re teaching the same things, in the same order, in the same way…and that’s where the Fun Intended Police👮are happy to parachute in to your rescue!

As a qualified FitPro, you KNOW your anatomy and physiology; you cue exercises to clients all day every day; AND you already have a gigantic amount of exercises in a list of some sort in your head.

You know HOW to put a lesson plan together, so it’s not that you lack the skills – it’s that every now and then, you just need some fresh, new and creative ideas for mixing up WHAT it is you’re teaching.

And, what better way to do this than with the help of a little 3-letter word F-U-N?! 🤸‍♀️

WHO IS THE FUN INTENDED WORKSHOP FOR?

Fun Intended is for qualified fitness professionals, group ex instructors, Pilates teachers, and/or anyone who holds a qualification to teach group exercise and/or movement to adults.

The majority of content will be aimed at instructors who teach group exercise classes to mainstream population clients.

The Fun Intended Workshop will provide lesson plan ideas for group classes such as: Pilates, fitness, toning, HIIT, Bootcamp and/or circuit-style workouts.

Here at Fun Intended, we’re doing just that – putting the FUN back into fitness!

We’ll be taking the exercises you already have, packaging them up 🎁 into creative and FUN ways for you to teach, and then presenting them to clients in a way that is FUN for them to experience.

Are you excited?! 😄

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

The Fun Intended Workshop has 4 fun elements to it:

Fun intended ice-breaker – Put your thinking caps on, get your creative juices flowing, and come up with the craziest exercise combo ideas ever in this Fun Intended ice-breaker (seriously, the wackier the exercise, the BETTER!)

30+ fun lesson plan ideas – Walk away with LOADS of new ideas for creating lesson plans that will not only give you a newfound love for teaching, but it’ll have your clients walking away from class with smiles on their face – wanting more!

6 brain-space savers – Simple and clever class content tips for the busy FitPro to help conserve both your physical AND mental energy when teaching a full class timetable of group exercise classes each week.

Q+A / Show and Tell – Observe other FitPros ask their own burning lesson planning questions, AND watch them share their very favourite lesson plans for a bit of LIVE “Show & Tell” so you can experience how others enjoy teaching and why!

BONUS – NO-FAIL LESSON PLAN TEMPLATE

A 60-minute lesson plan template for every occasion!

You know the deal: you had a lesson perfectly planned for a particular class, and then for whatever reason, you just had to rip that piece of paper up and think on your feet instead!  With this no-fail lesson plan template in your back pocket, you’ll go from stressed out “what the heck am I supposed to teach now?!” to cruising your way through class without a hiccup.  This template has been tried and tested in a number of situations and works perfectly for: covering someone else’s class; mixed ability sessions; when lots of newbies join on the same night; or when you were expecting 15 people to arrive for class, and only 2 turn up!

HOW IS FUN INTENDED DIFFERENT?

Fun Intended is NOT going to be “just another one of those workshops” that you sign up to ⚰️

We won’t be brushing up on your anatomy, nor developing your cueing skills, nor learning lots of new exercise content.

Phew, right? 😅

The focus is on FUN, so you really can breathe a sigh of relief here, ok?

Fun Intended is NOT serious.  It’s interactive.  It’s practical.  It’s hanging out with other FitPros for a couple of hours.  And, it’s FUN.

If you’re teaching group exercise right now, honestly, you don’t need any of these things:

🦴 Anatomy and physiology – you’re a qualified fitness professional, you don’t need to learn more A&P to know what works for your own clients, because you know this already.

👩‍🏫 Teaching skills – you cue exercises safely and effectively all day every day to alive human beings right now, and my guess is that you’re doing a great job, ok?

💪 New exercise content – you have a bajillion exercises at your disposal right now, and all you need are ideas to help you make use of more of them in fun and creative ways!

Hi, I’m Claire!

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 15+ years, a Teacher Trainer and FitPro Business Mentor for a decade of that time, and I’m on a mission this year to put the FUN back into fitness 🤸‍♀️

Starting out, I worked as a Gym Instructor at a local leisure centre, and I’m not going to lie – it was pretty grim down there in that basement with zero natural lighting 💀 The role exposed me to lots and lots of different types of people of course, but it wasn’t exactly what I’d call “fun”

A few months into my career, I finally saw the light when I passed my L2 Exercise To Music cert, and this gave me real freedom to be creative with exercise, because now my job essentially involved making people move in time to music that I enjoyed listening to (win!)

I’ve taught all manner of group X classes over the years including circuits/HIIT, indoor and exercise workouts, mixed ability Pilates sessions, and although I made a name for myself in the pre/postnatal and pelvic floor circles in my area, my favourite classes to teach each week were, without a doubt my Improvers Pilates and mainstream fitness classes 🙌

Your loyal clients are the ones that you can experiment with more, right?  But, I know what it’s like teaching the same people week in, week out.  Your teaching feels like it’s getting stale (not true), you think your clients aren’t enjoying themselves that much anymore (also not true), and every now and then, you experience lesson plan writer’s block… (ok, yeah, this one IS true!)🖋️

Allow me to introduce you to fresh and clever ways that you can present exercise to your clients; inject more enjoyment back into your teaching; and learn how to make lesson planning FUN again!
