How the foot operates affects not just the ankle, but also the knee, the pelvis, the spine, the shoulders and even the neck ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Gait is incredibly complex, but walking when done better (and that's the key here) provides a very beneficial workout for the pelvic floor ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ

Correct your PFD clients' foot turnout, prescribe them forefoot mobility exercises, innervate their feet to wake them up from years of shoe wearing slumber, and for goodness sake stretch out their calves, because their butt will forever be non-existent otherwise ๐Ÿ‘
.
I could write 5,000-words on how the foot bone is connected to so much more than just the ankle bone, but I only have 2,000 characters here (and well, my Your Pelvic Matters Teacher Training program dives much deeper into this) ๐Ÿฆถ๐Ÿป

Poorna Bell is quite wrong here, sheโ€™s getting her medals muddled with symptoms of health issues which are usually easily treated. Iโ€™m more than a little weary of pad manufacturers using gaslighting as a marketing technique. This should not be allowed. @tenawomen your products are good, they really do help women who need them - but your adverts continually imply that pads are the solution for all, and Iโ€™m really angry about that now. You could do better. I recently celebrated a pelvic floor nerd milestone: 6 years without cueing Kegels. Can I get an Amen?! ๐Ÿ™
.
My favourite pelvic floor condition = prolapse because of all of the clients I've personally trained, it's the ladies with POP who feel a significant improvement in their symptoms. I think a lot of it is down to the fact that I don't wrap my clients up in cotton wool, I don't blacklist an exercise, and I give them the confidence to move ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ
.
I have a history of 5+ years of foot pain myself (plantar fasciitis survivor here ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ) and I work from a foot first/everything's connected approach when working with clients with pelvic floor dysfunction ๐Ÿฆถ๐Ÿป
.
I'm originally from Tasmania, Australia, and yes, Tasmanian Devils are real, but a quick Google search will tell you that we almost lost the species very recently had it not been for some incredibly dedicated and talented scientists out there ๐Ÿงฌ
.
I've travelled to 40 European countries and pre-Covid, my partner, Mik and I would usually visit Croatia twice a year, and plan various European city breaks. We were actually supposed to fly to Budapest in March โœˆ๏ธ

I quit teaching my classes in December 2019 after 15 long years. I do miss the buzz of teaching to a good aerobics track every now and then, but honestly some days were a struggle to keep a fake smile on my face ๐Ÿ˜ณ
.
When I'm off the clock, you'll find me hiking, binging a Scandi show on Netflix, reading John Grisham, sampling a real ale, or knitting ๐Ÿงถ

Started my day with a group coaching call with my #YourPelvicMatters teacher trainers ๐Ÿ’•

I love connecting with my tribe over Zoom, and I'm really fortunate to have some super passionate instructors worldwide who just love working in pelvic floor health ๐ŸŒ
.
I coached one trainer in Ireland through the maze of marketing her online pelvic floor course without using social media (yep, that is possible!) ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Then, I chatted to another trainer in Canada whose business has actually benefited from Covid 19 financially, because her class sizes have increased, and clients no longer use the excuse of "I can't come this week", so there you go ๐Ÿ’ฐ

And, then I wrapped things up with an interesting discussion with a trainer in Estonia about repurposing content, because why would you produce something amazing, and not rinse and repeat it, huh? ๐Ÿค”
